Thanks to Union Pacific, we were able to expand virtues and individual responsibility-based training, mentoring, and second chance hiring for Minnesota prison inmates

We are so pleased to share that the Union Pacific Railroad Foundation partnered with us as a key expansion partner in 2023 through a $20,000 grant—to help us continue our pursuit of systemic change in the hiring and employment practices of businesses across Minnesota. Funding helped us provide inmates with the values, skills, mentors, relationships, and ongoing support needed to be successful; and employers with the understanding and knowledge to develop a successful second chance hiring program. Ultimately, we believe this will continue to reduce recidivism rates; increase workplace diversity, inclusion, and productivity; and strengthen families and communities.
