2020's Challenges = 2021’s Opportunities

Like you, we were R-E-A-D-Y to say “goodbye” to 2020 and though this year is starting rougher than anyone would have hoped, we’re still believing that better days are ahead for our nation, for you, and for our mission. In fact, we believe that many of last year’s challenges are going to turn into this year’s opportunities for The Redemption Project. Here’s why:

Virtues for Success Goes Virtual

Currently, we are still unable to provide our in-person Virtues for Success class due to COVID-19 (which is very present in the prison system). That’s why we’re pursuing doing the class virtually. Research about how to best adapt and deliver our curriculum for our students and conversations with prison representatives have already begun. When this initiative comes to fruition, it may transform the very way we deliver the first stage of our program not just in the near future, but post-pandemic too!

Investment Before and Beyond Their First Hire

Simply put, without Mentor/Employment Partners The Redemption Project program doesn’t work. That’s why we’re making it a priority to continually invest in new and innovative ways to present the benefits of our program, elevate the onboarding experience, and make every MEP feel a sense of excitement, empowerment, and support both before and beyond their first hire. Over the next few months we’ll be working on revamping our Mentor/Employment Partner experience by focusing more on easy-to-use online and digital resources.

Showing vs. Telling Our Story and Mission

As The Redemption Project has grown, we have been gradually acquiring the tools to be able to better share the TRP story and mission more publicly and dynamically (think: website, emails, social media, and video). Time and resources have often made it difficult to build and use these tools at the same time effectively…until now. Our longtime marketing contractor Ethan Cook has come on board, in an increased capacity, to help take things to the next level—starting with a greater presence on social media—to not just tell people about TRP, but show them.

Speaking of social media…
would you help jumpstart our 2021?
